One of our goals in the project "HERE and TOGETHER on the next level" is to become known in the local community. We want every county resident to know that families with children and young people with functional disabilities are represented by the association TEPAT and KOPĀ. We realize that we cannot get it in one day, recognition has to be earned. 😇
Participating in the Ogre city holiday market was our first time to go out into the community to introduce our goals and activities, to tell how anyone can help us. This time we were with the wonderful "QUEEN Rose Jewelry" jewelry, which is made by TEPAT and KOPĀ member and little Kate's mother, Gunta Bērziņa. We deliberately chose to be with traders, not only because there are hardworking and creative bees among our association, but also because we want to show that parents of children and young people do not ask for money, they can earn it themselves, but they need appropriate and accessible services in the local community.
We were happy for every newly acquired friend and supporter of the society to build an inclusive community together, so that children and young people with functional disabilities and their families can not only be, but also feel equal members of society.
This time, many thanks to the Active Citizens Fund and EEA and Norwegian grant funding for the wonderful banner! 😊
